Alesmith - My Bloody Valentine
Fuhhhhck. Seasonal Alesmith!? Hell yeah. This is bomb.
Societe - The Butcher
Russian Imperial 9.75%
Maybe I’m drunk already but this is such a drinkable Stout it’s kinda dangerous. Especially at 9.75% alcohol. Pitch black beer, strong espresso coffee hints and a dark chocolate finish. Similar to Victory at Sea by Ballast Point but perhaps less malty and lighter overall. More drinkable. Sorry for the potato quality picture… Apparently hipster bars don’t like lights!
First stout I’ve ever wanted to chug- 8.8/10
Port Brewing - Mongo
Double IPA 8.5%
Dis be good beer. See ? It’s empty! Couldn’t take a picture fast enough. And I’m on a hot date so… This will be a quick review!
8/10 very citrusy hops and balanced malts make this one the best DIPAs I’ve had. Less strong than Hanger 24, more refreshing.
Caracole - SAXO
Belgian Blonde Ale
This is hands down my favorite beer I’ve had this year. Just go drink it.
Maes (pronounced Mas)
Had this at a Belgian bistro, impressive pilsner that doesn’t have the usual finishing bite. Quite refreshing! Balanced sweetness and fresh malt that doesn’t taste skunky.
My first brewed beer!
Red Hook Longhammer IPA
Happy hour, decided to try this since it was the only IPA available at my local college bar. Drinkable with somewhat weak hopping and an off putting skunky, unbalanced malt presence. Weak.
5/10, would only drink above Coors/Bud/etc…
New Belgian Ranger IPA
NOT TOO SHABBY!!! My new favorite New Belgian probably better than their Belgo. Nice hops, at times grapefruity and times piney. Great for the price and quite drinkable. Give it a try!
